Gisela Hoffmann and Tom Bacher awarded

Former BEC President Tom Bacher (Denmark) and former BEC General Secretary Gisela Hoffmann (Germany) were both awarded alongside the 2012 BWF AGM in Wuhan. Gisela Hoffman, who has been General Secretary of Badminton Europe for 17 years, was awarded with the BWF Lifetime Achievement Award.

The BWF Lifetime Achievement Award is a prestigious award given by the Badminton World Federation to recognise individuals who have made a significant and lifetime contribution towards the advancement and promotion of the badminton sport worldwide.

Tom Bacher, a former world class player, was elected as BWF Honorary Life Vice President. He served as Badminton Europe President from 2004 to 2010. 

Congratulations to Gisela Hoffmann and Tom Bacher (pictured with BWF President Dr Kang Young Joong) for the awards and for their fantastic contribution to the badminton world.
