BEC employ Development & Events Assistant

Spela Silvester (25) will start as Development & Events Assistant from 1 August 2012 at Badminton Europe Confederation. Spela is well-known in the international badminton scene due to her long-time player career. She retired from international badminton competition after Slovenia International 2012.

The Slovenian-born currently lives in Odense, Denmark. In the past two years she has been practising at the Odense Badminton Academy. Beside her career as a player she started with a Master Study in 2010 at the Odense University. Currently she is working on her Master thesis in Marketing and Communication.

As Development & Events Assistant, Spela will be supporting the Development Manager and Events Manager in their respective areas. These will include working on the Olympic Projects, Summer School, Regional Projects, School Projects, Equipment Distribution, Coach Education as well as for the various Events. She is looking forward to providing services to our member associations in the Development and Events area.

Badminton Europe is very pleased with the employment of Spela Silvester as she, with the expertise she brings to the organization, will be a valuable asset for BEC.
