Konon and Wacha topped BE Circuit rankings

Przemyslaw Wacha topped the Badminton Europe Circuit rankings in the men’s singles category. The Pole won the tournaments in Austria, Bulgaria and Czech Republic and reached the final of the Irish International. Thanks to this solid performance, the 30-year-old finishing the rankings as number one shuttler.  Ville Lång of Finland and Dmytro Zavadsky of Ukraine reached rank two and three of the rankings.

Germany’s Olga Konon topped the women’s singles rankings. The former European Junior Champion won the events in Kharkov and Belgium and became runner-up at the Spanish Open. Judith Meulendijks (Netherlands) and Chloe Magee (Ireland) finished as number two and three.

The men’s doubles rankings see two pairs at the top. Russia’s Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov and Adam Cwalina/Michal Logosz of Poland have both 2900 points to finish as best men’ s doubles duo of the 2011/2012 Circuit season.  But no question: Both duos were the most dominant pairs of the season. Cwalina and Logosz took the men’s doubles titles in Spain, Belgium, Ireland and Czech Republic, while Ivanov and Sozonov won the tournaments in Finland, Poland, Sweden, Scotland, Italy and Kharkov. The Austrian veteran pair of Jürgen Koch and Peter Zauner took the third final ranking spot.

England’s Mariana Agathangelou/Heather Olver proved to be the women’s doubles of the 31 Circuit events in the 2011/12 season. And Sam Magee and Chloe Magee of Ireland top the mixed doubles rankings.
