Germany was the dominating country at the finals days of the first French International in Orleans by taking three titles. And with Dutch Judith Meulendijks and Germany's Johanna Goliszewski and Peter Käsbauer the 5.000 US Dollars tournament saw three players winning two events.

In the first final of the afternoon, Judith Meulendijks meet Sannatasah Saniru. It's been a one way final even the Malaysian tried everything. But Judith was too strong and won in straight games 21-12 21-15 to take the women's singles crown.

Followed by mixed doubles with the first German vs. Malaysian battle ... this time no trouble for the Germans Peter Käsbauer/Johanna Goliszewski who convincingly beat the young Malaysians very quickly 21-12, 21-11.

The favorite of the men’s singles, the Indian Anand Pawar, also had an easy win. Despite of a very good start, his opponent the Malaysian Misbun Ramdan, failed to keep up his level and was not able to upset the third seed of the tournament. Pawar won 21-16 21-11.

The women's doubles final saw Goliszewski and Meulendijks winning their second gold medal after a quickfire match over Danes Kruse/Hansen (21-13 21-12).

Finally, the match of the day: The men's doubles finals between the two German pairs Peter Käsbauer/Josche Zurwonne, the top seeds, and their younger team-mates Andreas Heinz and Max Schwenger. For the spectators in Orleans this battle will remain as THE match of the finals!

Jumps, dives, smashes and a lot of speed. Two beautiful games offered everthing what badminton have. The third and deciding game turned in favor of the more experienced Käsbauer/Zurwonne, who managed to finally take over to win 26-24, 17-21, 21-11.

A big thank you to you, dear players, you were able to thrill and fulfil the wishes of the Orléans spectators, who have seen high-level badminton for the first time. And we hope you have enjoyed your stay in Orleans. See you next year!
