The Indonesian pair of Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir, who defeated England's Nathan Robertson and Jenny Wallwork in the quarter-finals, toppled Denmark's 2005 runners-up Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Juhl 21-17 21-19 to lift the title for Indonesia.

Juhl said: "We are proud to have reached the final and we have played some of our best badminton this week." But Laybourn added: "We are filled with disappointment because we had a big chance to take this title and didn't take it. But their tactics were different to what we had seen on the videos."

"Today was just not our day. Nine matches in a row in two weeks with amazing play, that is what we have to focus on towards the Olympics. And about the Olympics: It looks like we are very close to having enough points to qualify."

The Yonex All England Championships is the second of five Premier events on the OSIM BWF Superseries circuit 2012.

Next year's Yonex All England Championships will take place from March 5-10.
