Kamilla Juhl and Thomas Laybourn, number 8 in the world ranking, proved to be the best mixed double at the Yonex German Open (Grand Prix Gold) by beating the Korean third seeds Lee Yong Dae and Ha Jung Eun 21-9, 21-16.
The Danish pair, which was fourth seeded in Mülheim, had a tremendous start leading 14-1 in the first game. But also in the second game the former world champions were dominating and kept the control of the match. The victory in Germany will give Laybourn/Juhl confidence for this week's All-England in Birmingham.
"We finished our incredible week in Germany with a win in the final and we played really really well. We are so happy about this results, because it gets us very close to the Olympics. And also the best preperations for this weeks All England", said Thomas Laybourn on his official Facebook page.
