The Bulgarian players, who won the 1st European Games in 2015 in the women’s doubles, will face Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan (CHN), the top seeds from China.

Qingchen and Yifan beat Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen of Denmark in Saturday’s semi-finals 21-12, 21-14.

England’s challenge ended in the semi-finals

England's challenge at the 2017 Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold ended after the Olympic bronze medalists, Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge lost their quarter-finals match late Saturday. The Britons were defeated by unseeded Chinese duo Liu Cheng and Zhang Nan 9-21, 19-21.

Zhang is familiar foe for the English pair, having played him and former partner Fu Haifeng on three previous occasions.
