Badminton Club RAVENS KG in collaboration with Badminton Association of Serbia and City of Kragujevac organized GIRLS PROJECT for the 6th consecutive year, in the period from 8th to 13th of August 2016 in Kragujevac, Serbia.

Conceived as a regional camp and a part of Badminton Europe's development program with BE's financial support, this year’s camp has united 28 girls and their coaches, representing eight European countries: Austria, Croatia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Sweden, Macedonia and Serbia.

Head coach Debbie Lynch from Denmark and her first assistant Kenneth Kjellerup brought a rich international experience to the young girls participating in Girls Camp, through intensive training sessions.

Statement of Debbie Lynch – (Head coach)
“It was a great pleasure for me to be asked to come as the head coach for the fourth time on the EBU U15 Girls Camp in Kragujevac, Serbia. I feel that this camp pushes the physical and mental boundaries of the girls and that you can really see the difference after five intensive days.”

Statement of Andreja Todorović (Project manager / BC RAVENS KG)
“We are extremely proud that all activities went according to the plan, as all of the participants were disciplined on and off the court and took the opportunity to advance in badminton and establish new contacts and friendships. Among 28 participants from the eight countries, we had participants from Croatia and Sweden, for the first time.

We would like to mention that during the camp we had a great honor to be visited by a TV-team who recorded video material for the purpose of BWF that will be presented on the video channel BADMINTON UNLIMITED.

We hope that this will further contribute to the development of badminton in Serbia and in the region, as well as to the promotion of the project which we have been developing for the six years in collaboration with Badminton Europe and BASS.”

Furthermore, what additionally adorns this camp is the extremely rich and social program, which contributes to the establishment of new friendships between future rivals on court, as well as to the deepening of national associations' players, who have collaborated when they were involved in the project activities.

A professional photographer constantly updated Girls Camp Facebook and the Instagram-profile, badminton.girls, which was a huge hit with everybody following ‘Girls Camp’ on social media.

The organizers once again worked very hard to make this camp successful, as it were the case in the previous years.
