Denmark's Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Juhl captured their first Superseries title together when they defeated Ha Jung-Eun/Kim Min-Jung of Korea 21-19, 21-18 in a keenly contested match-up at the Malaysia Open. It was not only the first ever Superseries triumph in the women's doubles for Denmark, it was also a European premiere.

"We've been the underdogs in the final. That gave us a good and more relaxed feeling. We have lost to our opponents four times but we came closer every time. I guess the key points for our win was our good preparation for this match, watching a lot of videos and we were mentally stronger today", said Kamilla Juhl.

The Danes will move up the world rankings after this win and give a boost to their hopes of qualifying for the Olympics.
