Denmark secured its fourth title in a row at European U17 Championships by beating England 3-1 in the final. But it was England who took the 1-0 lead as Alex Lane beat Peter Correll in three games. Then Julie Finne-Ipsen brought back the Danish title hopes by beating her English pendant Natalie Chan-Lam in a close three-game battle. The next two matches showed a clear dominance by the Scandinavians.

The men's doubles Viktor Svendsen and Mads Sørensen beat Alex Lane and Sam Person in two straight games to give Denmark the 2-1 lead. Afterwards - and in the last match of the day - the women's doubles pair of Julie Finne-Ipsen/Isabella Nielsen sealed the overall victory with a 2-0 win over Jennifer Moore/Victoria Williams.

For Denmark it was the fourth title since 2005. The trophy for the best team was handed out by Badminton Europe's Vice-President Alberto Miglietta. Congratulations to gold winner Denmark - and to the finalist England as well as Turkey and Russia for taking bronze medals.
