59 teams entered for Amsterdam 2012

59 teams have entered for the European Men’s & Women’s Team Championships 2012 which will be played in Amsterdam from 14 – 19 February 2012. Title holder in both categories is Denmark(pictured).The Scandinavians secured the titles in 2010 when the event was staged in the Polish capital of Warszawa.

The European Men's and Women's Team Championships is held every second year to crown the best men's and women's national teams in Europe and to find the European representatives for the Thomas & Uber Cup-finals which are played in China in May 2012.

After 2006 in Thessalonica (Greece), 2008 in Almere (Netherlands) and 2010 in Warszawa (Poland) the event will take place for the fourth time as a recognised European Championships.

The format of play, seeding and draw date will soon be announced by Badminton Europe.
