Level 2 course in Dublin in 2016

Dublin will play host to a BWF Level 2 coach education course. This course is the highest level of coaching qualification currently available that is recognized by the Badminton World Federation.

Badminton Ireland are delighted to announce applications are now open for the BWF Level 2 Coach Education course. The course will take place on the below dates at Marino Institute of Education.
  • June 3rd/4th/5th 2016 
  • July 8th/9th/10th 2016
The course is open to any coaches that currently hold a BWF Level 1 coaching qualification. The six day course will be run over two weekends Friday to Sunday inclusive. The course will be led by newly qualified Level 2 tutor Daniel Magee and will be assisted by Karen Brady. Topics that are included on the course are as follows: How to Coach, Performance Factors, and Technical & Tactical Progressions, Annual planning, Psychology and physical elements.

Candidates must be able to construct and deliver annual training and competition plans, individual training plans and programmes underpinned by sports science principles. The course aims to produce effective managers of groups of players up to elite performance level. All work must be completed and submitted to Badminton Ireland within 3 months of completing the contact hours of the course.

Weekend 2: July 8th/9th/10th 2016

Location: Marino Institute of Education, Griffith avenue, Dublin 9, Ireland.

Accommodation: Available onsite Single room @40 per night or double room @60 per night 

Course Cost: €600. Deposit €100 to be paid one month prior to course and remainder to be paid before start of course.
