One year has passed since the announcement of the inclusion of para-badminton into the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The announcement which took place on the 7th of October 2014 in Berlin, Germany brought pure joy to the badminton family as it was one of Badminton World Federation´s goal to succeed in the bid and be part of the most prestigious multi-sport event in para-sports.

To honor this fantastic milestone, a video is produced by Badminton Europe to celebrate the one year mark. Aligned with the integration of para-badminton at the international level, Badminton Europe has integrated para-badminton in all its aspect in the organization at the continental level since September 2014.

Para-badminton tournaments and activities are increasing all around Europe as para-badminton is getting more and more exposure. In addition to that coaches and players also started to increase their focus and workload. They all have one dream; to compete and win in the first ever Paralympic Games where para-badminton is making its debut.
