Work for Kazan 2016 is in progress

A small delegation from Russia made an important visit to the Badminton Europe office on Wednesday 2. September 2015. In February 2016 the European Men’s & Women’s Team Championships and European U15 Championships will be held in the city of Kazan in the region of Tatarstan with the preparations running according to schedule. 


Following an afternoon of intense meetings around subjects as TV production, sports presentation, scheduling, accommodation and visas another meeting was organized with the President of the Badminton World Federation, Poul Erik Høyer. 


Following the successful visit Brian Agerbak said; “We are excited to bring another of our major events to Kazan. It is a progressive city and region that understands the importance of attracting major sport events. We are especially pleased to hear of the lasting legacy of a permanent badminton hall being completed early next year.”
