Fontaine Chapman, the England No 1, won the 2015 Hellas International (5.000 US Dollar) women's singles title on Sunday, while former European Junior Champion Fabian Roth took his maiden title at the international Circuit.

Chapman beat Linda Zetchiri when Bulgaria's top seed was forced to retire in the second game of the final in Sidirokastro, Greece. Chapman, who had twice lost to Zetchiri in 2014, was leading 21-9, 14-6 at the time.

"It's never nice to win when a player has to retire but I did the hard work to get myself in the final," said Chapman.

"After winning the first set I felt confident I could go on to win."

Meanwhile, top-seeded Toby Penty of England and Fabian Roth, Germany's No 3 seed, were involved in the tightest final on Sunday afternoon. It was a nip-and-tuck final, with Penty, who was taken to three games in his previous two encounters on his way to the title decider, going down 21-19 19-21 21-19 to Roth.

Russian pair of Zdanov/Bibik played a convincible tournament as they brought home a close victory over top seeded Polish pair of Pietryja/Wojtkowska in the mixed doubles category. The Polish players Bochat/Pietryja beat the Russian players Rusin/Zdanov to win the women's doubles title.
