A total number of 33 Member Associations have entered a team for the European Mixed Team Championships – meaning that, in accordance with the regulations for these championships (reg. 6.4), 5 teams are directly into the final, while the remaining 28 teams will play in 7 qualification groups to qualify for the final. The final will be played in Leuven, Belgium from 12-15 February 2015.

The 5 teams directly qualified into the final are:

Denmark – as highest ranked team amongst the 31 remaining teams
England – as second highest ranked team amongst the 31 remaining teams
Russia – as third highest ranked team amongst the 31 remaining teams

These 7 teams are seeded in the qualification stage, and therefore given first option to host a qualification group:

Netherlands
Scotland
France
Sweden
Spain
Ireland
Poland

These 7 teams/associations will be placed in the groups 1-7 at the draw for the qualification stage – while the remaining 21 teams will be drawn into the 7 groups on random basis.

The draw will be conducted on Tuesday 13 May 2014 at 14.00 CET and can be seen LIVE on Badminton Europe’s Youtube channel.

The above listed 7 teams/associations are offered first option to host a qualification group – a group play which must be played 7-9 November 2014 in accordance with prior circulated information. The 7 teams/associations have until 20 May 2014 to inform Badminton Europe if they wish to host their qualification group or not. If the team/association does not wish to host their qualification group, the offer will be given to the second highest ranked team in that particular group.
