Another EMTC final for Denmark

Denmark only needed three matches to win their semifinal against England.

After Line Christophersen and Viktor Axelsen’s wins, all eyes were on Maiken Fruergaard/ Sara Thygesen to see if they would win their match and therefore get the victory for Denmark to advance to the final.

The Danish pair had had to face Chloe Birch/ Lauren Smith in yesterday’s team match too. The one hour and eighteen minutes-long match went to three games and today, it only took Fruergaard/ Thygesen two games to win, 21-18 21-15.

Will Denmark win their fifth title in a row or can either of their potential opponents stop the Danes from becoming champions yet again?

One of Germany’s strongest players, Mark Lamsfuss, will sadly not be joining his team in the fight for a spot in the final due to illness.  

The second semifinal, Germany against France, will be starting at 06.00pm. The full line-up has just been announced:
