The Iceland International is back and will be taking place this week as part of the Reykjavik International Games.

The last stop in the European Circuit before the big 2023 European Mixed Team Championships is Reykjavik for the RSL Iceland International 2023. The Future Series tournament makes its comeback after a two-year break, and will be taking place from Thursday 26 until Sunday 29 January.

Live action
The RSL Iceland International 2023 is part of the Reykjavik International Games, a multi-sport event with a programme of more than 20 different sports, happening from 27 January until 5 February in the Icelandic capital.

You can follow the latest news about the tournament through the official event page and watch all matches on the streaming portal of the Reykjavik International Games.

Who will be there?
The Main Draw has some big names from the European Circuit, including top seeded Kati-Kreet Marran/ Helina Rüütel in the women’s doubles and a strong women’s singles draw — Jordan Hart, Wales; number one seed Tereza Švábíková, Czech Republic; and Centre of Excellence players Anna Mikhalkova, Ukraine; Weronika Gorniak, Poland; and Irina Amalie Andersen, Denmark.

There will be plenty of Centre of Excellence players competing this week in Reykjavik as Poland’s Andrzej Niczyporuk, Slovakia’s Sofia Slosiarikova, Iceland’s Gabriel Ingi Helgason — staying at the CoE until April —, are all playing in tomorrow’s Qualification Round. Iceland will have its strongest players in the mixed doubles, Daniel Johannesson/ Sigridur Arnadottir, who won the bronze in the 2020 edition.
