Five Europeans make their way to the podium

The VICTOR Croatian International 2022 that started last Thursday, September 29, took place in Dom Sportova, Zagreb and featured players from just three different nationalities at the finals on Sunday, October 2. 

China and Chinese Taipei won all the titles on finals day, but in the podium five European players also represented their countries. Daniel Nikolov from Bulgaria reached the semi-final in men's singles, same as Polina Buhrova from Ukraine and Alexandra Oprisan from England in women’s singles, finally Mael Cattoen/ Lucas Renoir from France, in men’s doubles, also reaching a place in the semi-final.
 
The tournament winners were Liu Hai Chao (China) in men’s singles, Huang Ching Ping (Chinese Taipei) in women’s singles, Chiu Hsiang Chieh/ Yang Ming-Tse (Chinese Taipei) in men’s doubles, Qiao Shi Jun/ Zhou Xin Ru (China) in women’s doubles and Chiu Hsiang Chieh/ Lin Xiao Min (Chinese Taipei) in mixed doubles.
