After two years since the last edition, it is soon time for Europe’s young badminton stars to represent their country’s team at the European Junior Team Championships.

From 18 to 27 August, the top U19 players will be meeting for 10 days in Belgrade, Serbia, for the 2022 European Junior Championships. With less than two months to go, we now know which countries will have teams representing them in the biennial team event, the European Junior Team Championships.

With the last edition having taken place in 2020 during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic and with lower numbers, we are now back on track in full force for Serbia with 32 teams that have entered to compete from 18 to 22 August, when the team event will be taking place.

Denmark are in the lead with the most titles and are also the reigning champions. However, it remains to be seen if they can win the title once again or if other strong European teams, such as France — who won two editions in a row not that long ago, in 2017 and 2018 — will be able to stop them. There is one thing for sure, there is plenty of U19 talent in Europe who have shown their strength, even against powerful senior players in the European Circuit.

The following 32 teams have entered to compete at the 2022 European Junior Championships: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine.

From 18 to 27 August, you can watch the 2022 European Junior Championships on www.badmintoneurope.tv.
