Badminton Europe is glad to announce that the host of the next European Mixed Team Championships will be the Belgium city of Leuven. The event will take place from February 12th until 15th 2015 in the SportOase in Leuven.

The city of Leuven is known for its long tradition in organising high-level badminton events. In September 2014 they will for example organise the Yonex Belgian International for the 5th time.

"We are very honoured to receive the confidence of Badminton Europe to organise this mayor event", said President of Badminton Vlaanderen, Hans Vancauwenbergh and Sven Serré, member of the board of the Belgian Olympic Comittee in a press release.

The new established qualification stage for the 2015 European Mixed Team Championships will be played in week 45 of 2014.

The 2013 European Mixed Team Championships took place in Ramenskoe last year where Germany took top honours ahead of Denmark.

Earlier this year Poland was confirmed as host of four European Championship events including the Mixed European Championships in 2017, the 2015 European Junior Championships, the 2016 European Under-17 Championships and the 2018 European Club Championships, with France set to host the 2016 European Championships, the 2014 European Club Championships and the 2017 European Junior Championships.
