The European Games and European Championships medallist will be partnering up with one of the young French talents.

Despite of being just 25 years old, Anne Tran, is already an established player at European level. The French national player has won medals at the European Championships (silver medal in 2018), European Games (bronze medal in 2019), European Women’s Team Championships (silver medal in 2020) and at the European Mixed Team Championships (silver medal in 2021). Now she will be taking the next step towards the biggest goal for any French athlete: the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Moving forward, Anne Tran will be partnering up with 22-year-old Margot Lambert, who was also part of the teams which won medals in 2020 and 2021.

- I am very happy with this new partnership. She is a talented player and she has a big potential, Anne Tran said.

New role
Anne Tran has in the past had experienced partners such as Ronan Labar and Emilie Lefel, and the new partnership will also give Tran a new role that she is not used to have.

- She is a bit younger and I have bit more experience in high level tournaments. I hope she will benefit from this, and I am also sure, she will have a positive impact on me, Tran stated.

- Now we have to develop our game and find our way to play. It is a new adventure and I cannot wait to start playing competitions with her.

Eyes on Paris – starting in Poland

With the Paris 2024 less than three years away, partnerships are now mostly formed with qualification for the Olympics as the big goal, and that is also the case for Tran and Lambert.

- We will start step by step, but of course the main goal is to qualify for Olympics, Tran explained.

Anne Tran and Margot Lambert have entered Polish International, which will take place next week. You can watch to French duo and all other matches live at www.badmintoneurope.tv
