The two nations who faced each other in the European U17 Championships team final also performed strongly in the individual events. The two nations stood proudly on the men's and women's doubles podiums.

Alex Lanier, who had already won his men's singles gold earlier on, vowed to try and make history for France by also winning the men's doubles with his partner Baptiste Labarthe. They both stated that they look forward to a revenge match against the Russians as they lost to them in the team final. A pivitol match in ultimately Russia's team event win.

Daniil Dubovenko/ Gleb Stepakov also were ready to leave everything out there on court and they almost did it in two games. After winning the first game well, it looked like France were going to set up a decider, until the Russians put together a late charge for the gold, although they were not able to get a match point.

The battle continued into the third game with high-quality and intense rallies. It was quite difficult to call until Lanier/ Labarthe found a new gear and sprinted to the end.

Alex Lanier repeated the impressive feat of Denmark's Mads Moller, winning double gold in men's singles and doubles.

MD FINAL: Baptiste Labarthe/ Alex Lanier (FRA) (1) bt  Daniil Dubovenko/ Gleb Stepakov (RUS) (3) - 16-21 26-24 21-17

Russian WD on top again
As was the case at the 2019 European U17 Championships, Russia took home the top prize in the women's doubles, but this time with a silver too.

Both pairs have showcased the very best women's doubles all week and the two fought hard to be crowned the top in Europe. The higher seeds Daria Kharlampovich/ Galina Lisochkina overcame a tight opening game to then spread their wings to fly towards the gold.

WD FINAL: Daria Kharlampovich/ Galina Lisochkina (RUS) (2) bt Maria Lezzhova/ Galina Mezentseva (RUS) (6) - 21-19, 21-13
