Kyiv is ready for the European Championships

At today’s press conference, the beautiful venue for the 2021 European Championships was presented to the media.


From 27 April – 2 May the 2021 European Championships will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine, and the final preparations are ongoing.

This week, a delegation from Badminton Europe is visiting the Ukrainian hosts and in today’s press conference the public got the chance to see the setup of the European Championships for the very first time.

A great visit
Deputy General Secretary of Badminton Europe, Jimmy Andersen, attended the press conference, and he is very pleased with the preparations.

- We are sure that Ukraine is ready to host the European Championships, Andersen stated.

- We have heard from a number of different institutions and we are confident about the positive progression towards the championships.  

Highest level
President of the Ukrainian Badminton Federation, Oleksii Dniprov, is looking forward to invite the European badminton community to Kyiv in April.

- The 2021 European Championships in Ukraine is a contribution to the pride of our country and a sign of trust to Ukraine as a reliable partner.

- With the support of the state and our partners, we are ready to organise the European Championships in Kyiv at the highest level, Dniprov said.
