Yesterday the women’s singles category at SaarLorLux Open began and the players for the second round were found. One who is ready for another match in Germany is Martina Repiska, Slovakia.

Martina Repiska, who lives at the Badminton Centre of Excellence, is ready for the second round at the Super 100 tournament as she comfortably bet Estonian Helis Pajuste 21-9 21-7.

- After my first round yesterday, I can say that I am satisfied with my performance. I played according to my game plan and I stayed focused during the entire match, Repiska said.

The Slovakian played the Denmark Open two weeks ago where she lost out in the first round to Danish Mia Blichfeldt, but even though this tournament is ranked lower Repiska does not want to have too many expectations.

- I rather want to focus on brining my best version in each rally, each match and each day, Repiska said.

Missed the tournament life

As many others Repiska has not played international badminton for the last eight months, except the Denmark Open, and she enjoys being back on court.

- It is definitely nice to be playing internationally again. I am realizing that I missed competing and tournament life, Repiska said.

Later today she will face fourth seed Line Højmark Kjaersfeldt from Denmark.
