Badminton Europe would like to wish you all a happy International Women's Day. Let's all be #EachforEqual.

With increased media attention, greater sponsorship, mainstream television coverage and big wins for women’s teams, there's been massive progress made towards creating an equal platform for women sporting champions.

People around the world are coming together to celebrate International Women’s Day – and sport is one way to mark the day. Klavs Andreassen, BEC Director and Gender Equity Commission Chair, further emphasises this by stating.

-We are moving into a very exciting time in history where the world now ‘expects’ gender equity. The world notices its absence and celebrates its presence. In 2019, we continued to play a critical role in our many activities, helping forge a more gender-balanced sport. And 2020, sees that it is time to place a lot more value on women's sporting contributions and participation. It is time to celebrate the people, teams, communities and media who actively choose to support, cover and feature women's sport.
