Ronan Labar and Anne Tran are into the mixed doubles quarterfinals after two straight games victories.

The second round match against the dual nation pair of Dane Emil Hybel and Swede Johanna Magnussen was a very close, and emotional battle. The match ended 25-23, 21.18, and Labar explains how it went.

-It was a really difficult game. We were the favourite on paper, but they played extremely good from the beginning. We were under pressure, and we did not fair that good mentally. We had to dig for something extra, so that is why I was screaming that much. That pushed me, so I am happy we did it in two.

That is why we play badminton

They will face the Korean pair of Kim Sa Rang and Eom Hye Won, who are both former mixed doubles bronze medallists at the Asian Championships with different partners.

-This will be a very challenging game. We will for sure watch some video of them. That is what we play badminton for. Good games and when it is going to be close, it will get the best out of us.
