Positive challenges at CoE

Many players are joining the Badminton Europe Centre of Excellence, and there is no space for more players to join in August.

After moving into the brand new facilities at the Badminton Europe Centre of Excellence, players are coming more than going. In addition to the 20 players who lives on the Centre permanently, 12 players are joining the CoE in August on scholarships.

The players joining on short-term scholarships are:

Veronika Gorniak (POL)

Thuzar Thet (MYA)

Anthony Joe (AUS)

Abigail Holden (ENG)

Helis Pajuste (EST)

Lino Munoz (MEX)

Daniela Macias (PER)

Teodor Cioroboiou (ROU)

Dmytri Panarin (KAZ)

Brian Agerbak, General Secretary at Badminton Europe is pleased that players from all around the World is joining the European training centre.

- It is great to see that we now have a positive challenge regarding capacity. I am also happy to see that players from other continents see the Centre of Excellence as a positive resource, Agerbak said.

Modern sports complex
On the 1st of August the CoE moved into new facilities including new accommodation and a new badminton hall - a new training environment.

- I am glad that the big numbers of players goes hand-in-hand with the Centre moving into new facilities. It is a modern sports complex, and I honestly believe that you cannot make a better setup than this, Agerbak said.
