Sudirman Cup 2019 in Nanning is getting closer and closer. Only 4 days until this prestigious event will start. Today we will have a closer look at group 2.

Two years ago, Germany participated in the elite group. Now they are second seeded in group 2 and placed in subgroup 2B with Israel, Canada and Singapore.

- We are disappointed that we are not in the top 12. Now we have to show, that we actually belong there, Marvin Seidel (Germany) stated to Badminton Europe.

- We definitely want to win our group and then also the ‚’final ‘!

Good team spirit

France shares the same ambition as Germany, which promises to be an exciting final if their expectations come true! But first France has to deal with top seeded team The Netherlands, as well as USA and Vietnam in subgroup 2A.

- I always like those team event because we have a good team spirit. We will try to support each other the best way possible on and off court! Anne Tran (France) stated to Badminton Europe.

- I would like to win my matches there, take some good experience from an event like this and enjoy fighting for France!
