Mark Caljouw found his way out of the match against Kashyap Parupalli from India in straight games (21-15, 21-16). He seemed in control and improved his game, compared to his first round match of the YONEX Swiss Open 2019.

Indeed, the Dutch faced Tommy Sugiarto on Wednesday and was one game down, before winning the match. This one-hour match did not stop Caljouw from winning today in the second round of the tournament.

Tomorrow, he will face the first seeded Men’s Singles player, Shi Yuqi, to fight for a spot in the semi-final.

Mark Caljouw is now one of the two European players left in the Men’s Singles draw. The French, Lucas Corvee, has also reached the quarterfinals of the YONEX Swiss Open 2019.
