On behalf of Badminton Europe's Gender Equity Commission, we wish everybody a happy International Women's Day!

Badminton Europe uses this day to point out that it is important to involve both genders in all forms of work on badminton - as a top player, coach, administrator or technical official.

- Unfortunately, it is still the case that women are under-represented in all these fields of badminton, but we are positive that we will reduce this gap, Klavs Andreassen, Gender Equity Commission Chair, said.

Badminton Europe Commissions

There are ten Commissions in Badminton Europe, focusing on different areas in European badminton. One of these commissions is the Gender Equity Commission.

The objective of this Commission is to encourage and assist our 53 Member Associations in increasing the female participation in badminton.
