Ready for the Danish-Dutch semi-final?

Today, the Netherlands were able to win their last group match against France. Tomorrow, they are facing the favourite, Denmark, in the semi-final of the EMTC.  


After a tough and close match that lasted 61 minutes, the Netherlands had a reason to celebrate: The team has reached the semi-final of the 2019 European Mixed Team Championships in Copenhagen.


The Men’s Doubles match was the fourth match of the duel between France and the Netherlands on Friday. After winning the Mixed Double and Men’s Singles, Gayle Mahulette had to accept a defeat against Marie Batomene.


The following Men’s Doubles between Ronan Labar/Thom Gicquel and Jelle Maas/Robin Tabeling was a matchpoint match. After three close games, the Netherlands were able to win the match and reach the semi-finals of the tournament.


- It is a long time ago, since we last won a medal at the European Mixed Team Championships, but this year, we knew that we could do it, Robin Tabeling said after the match.


- It is an amazing feeling, Jelle Maas added.

The defending champion and host, Denmark, already reached the semi-final on Thursday, after winning to the Netherlands. 


On Friday, the won clearly against Spain, with 5-0. 


- I really enjoy playing in a team. It is a very good feeling to win. We are considered as the favourites, Mia Blichfeldt said after winning her match.

Tomorrow, Denmark is facing the Netherlands at 14.00 AM (CET). The last duel between both teams in the group stage ended with 4-1 for Denmark.
