The new European rankings came out today with new number one’s in both the Women’s and Mixed Doubles categories.

With 2018 coming to a close, this week’s rankings have shown us which players will be top at Christmas.

Changes in the Doubles

In the Women’s Doubles the Turkish pair of Nazlican Inci and Bengisu Ercetin are now ranked number one in the BEC Elite Circuits.

The pair have taken top spot from the Swedish pair of Emma Karlsson and Johanna Magnusson who have now dropped down to 3rd in the rankings.

As for the Mixed Doubles, the pair of Rodion Alimov and Alina Davletova (Russia) are now ranked at number one.

The Russian’s have risen above Pawel Smilowski/Magdalena Swierczynska (Poland) after their impressive victory at the Italian Open last week.

Whilst in the Men’s Doubles, Scotland’s Alexander Dunn and Adam Hall remain top of the rankings, a position which they’ve held for the majority of 2018.

This week’s action

The Turkey International has been the only action on the European Tour this week.

The tournament in Ankara, which began on Monday is the final tournament on the European tour in 2018.

New Women’s Doubles number ones Inci and Ercetin are still in the tournament so will be hoping that a victory will extend their gap at the top.
