France – Estonia: 4-1

The ‘’final’’ of Group 4 started by the two closest matches on paper: In the Men’s Singles, Toma Junior Popov started slow against Raul Must and lost the first set, but kept calm to easily win the two last.

The Women’s Singles match went the other way around, with Marie Batomene dominating the game during one and a half sets, but Kristin Kuuba proved why she was ranked 50 places higher and fought back to win the match in three sets.

The men’s doubles was won by the French pair of Ronan Labar and Thom Gicquel in straight games and Thom was satisfied by the performance of the pair.

- We did a good performance, we were solid all the match and we stayed focused along the match, I am happy about that, he said.

Anne Tran and Emilie Lefel then secured the third point needed for France to qualify for the 2019 European Mixed Team Championships. When they were asked about their goal for this tournament, Anne Tran did not need to think twice:

- The goal will be to reach a medal.

The final match of the day was won in three sets by Ronan Labar and Audrey Mittelheisser.

Slovakia – Faroe Islands: 4-1

In the opening tie of the day, Slovakia finished the EMTC Qualification on a positive note by beating the Faroe Islands in the four matches played. Martina Repiska won, as expected, her two matches and gave us her thoughts about the overall performance of her team.

- We have done quite a good job with the team, we were hoping to beat Estonia on Friday, but they have a good team.
