Badminton Europe is happy to invite its member associations to one of the BEC Basis Programme projects in 2018. The National Administrators’ and Level 1 Event Management courses will take place from 6-7 December in Chisinau, Moldova.

The National Administrators’ and Level 1 Event Management courses are part of the BWF’s educational programme, designed by the World Academy of Sport (WAoS). In 2018, it is the second time that the project will be organised.

The courses will be held along the 2018 European Mixed Team Championships Qualification in Moldova. Next to Moldova, the qualification group contains Russia, Scotland, and Ukraine.

BEC offers two courses
The event in Moldova in December consists of two courses, the National Administrators’ Course and the Level 1 Event Management Course.

The National Administrators’ course is aimed at individuals who perform an administrative function in their federation. By the end of this course, the participants will have developed a better understanding of constitutional, administrative, strategic and operational tasks.

The Level 1 Event Management course is aimed at event managers who wish to stage Level 4 events and International Junior tournaments. By the end of this course, participants will have developed a better understanding of competition structures, event management and reporting process.

When to go there
All attending course participants are expected to arrive on Wednesday, 5th December and depart on Saturday, 8th December 2018. The participants of the National Administrators' course can also depart after 5 PM on Friday, 7th December, if they find convenient flights out of Chisinau.

The transportation between the hotel and the airport will be arranged. Furthermore, Badminton Europe will cover three nights’ accommodation in shared twin rooms (including breakfast) as well as lunch and dinner on Thursday and Friday, and a 250 € travel grant for selected candidates.

How to apply
All applications must be submitted by the Member Associations. To register applicants, the member associations have to send the official course application form to Tania Teoh at tania.teoh@badmintoneurope.com.

Further to the application form, there is an online programme for the respective disciplines, either Administration or Events, which is mandatory to complete satisfactory prior to the course.
