Vladimir Ivanov: We want to improve our game and ranking further

Vladimir Ivanov/ Ivan Sozonov (Russia) were in top 10 last week on the BWF men’s doubles world ranking list. This week they are no. 11, however the Russian duo has bigger goals. Vladimir Ivanov talked about it with Badminton Europe,

-Being in top 10 in the world is not new for us, we want to improve our game and ranking further. I hope we will manage to get into the top 5 next year. 

In his words, before the world championships they are going to play Russian Open (BWF Super 100) which will be held next week in Vladivostok and will have a training camp. 

Thailand Open participants moving up

The new ranking list has Bulgaria’s Linda Zetchiri on position no. 42, two spots up compared to last week. Sabrina Jaquet (Switzerland) has moved 10 spots up on the women’s singles world ranking list. 

England’s Chloe Birch has climbed three spots to occupy position no. 57. Ksenia Polikarpova (Israel) has moved one spot up occupying position no. 72. Germany’s Fabienne Deprez is following her on position no. 73. 

Emilie Lefel/Anne Tran have climbed one spot up to occupy position no. 21 on the women’s doubles world ranking list. Ekaterina Bolotova/Aline Davletova (Russia) have moved four spots up, standing on position no. 26.
