For the second consecutive year Brice Leverdez will face Lee Chong Wei at the World Championships.

The TOTAL BWF World Championships 2018 will take place in Nanjing, China from July 30th to August 5th, and today the draw was conducted.

French Brice Leverdez will face Lee Chong Wei in the first round – a rematch from the last edition of the World Championships in Glasgow, where Leverdez beat Chong Wei in three games.

Axelsen as top seed
Dutch Mark Caljouw will also be facing a strong opponent in the first round. Caljouw will play Chinese legend, Lin Dan.

- It is a hard draw but we prepare as much as we can, and I will give it all. My gameplan is a secret, but it will be a hard match, so I have to prepare for that, Caljouw says.

The defending World Champion in men’s singles and top seed, Viktor Axelsen, will face Duarte Nuno Anjo, Portugal in the first round.
