Orla Flynn from Ireland decided to enter the RSL BEC Summer School for the second time. The training and the new friends made her come back.

The RSL BEC Summer School kicked off on Saturday and after two days of action it is clear, that the players and coaches in Slovenia are having a good time.

One of the players attending the RSL BEC Summer School is Orla Flynn, 16, from Ireland. She also went to the Summer School in 2017.

- I really wanted to go back, because it was a very good experience last year. I learned a lot last year, and I got some new friends from other countries, Flynn says.

A lot of action
The players and coaches arrived in Podcetrtek, Slovenia, on Saturday, and on Sunday action was on for the first time.

The players had a matches session to allow the coaches to assess their level. They are now training in groups with players of the same level.

The coaches took the Shuttle Time Teachers course on Sunday and are now taking part in the BWF Coach Education 1 program.

Coaches are good
For Orla Flynn it is great to be back on court in Slovenia.

- The coaches are good, and they are really helpful. There is a lot of good players here, and the training is great, because we have new coaches every time, Flynn says.

- The experience is the main key of why I am here. The training is different from home, and I like to learn new things.

Team event on Friday
A lot of things are happening at the RSL BEC Summer School, and there are a lot of activities to look forward to for the young players.

- I am looking forward to every training session. We are going to a water park, which will be nice, and there is also a team tournament on Friday, which will be fun, Flynn says.

Podcetrtek is hosting the Summer School for the
fourth consecutive year and is welcoming this year 41 players from 14 different countries.
