Seedings to predict Europe’s best club of 2018

The next continental championship is coming up in Białystok, Poland, this month, and Badminton Europe has today on June 7th announced the seedings.

The best clubs in Europe have reported ready for the 2018 European Club Championships from 19-23 of June. A total of 14 teams are expected to play when the group stage kicks off later this month.

The champions from 2017 and 2016, Issy Les Moulineaux BC, takes the no. 1 spot of the seeding list once again. Based in the southwestern suburban area of Paris, the club has been tough to beat the last couple of years.

Their ‘local’ rivals from the club BC Chambly Oise in the city of Chambly, a commune in the Oise department in northern France, ‘jumps’ a seeding up compared to 2017, and have this year earned the no. 2-seeding.

The two French clubs played the final in Milan, last year, and the scene is set for a re-match if they make if past the group stages. BC Chambly Oise is still hunting the first win of the ‘Europe Cup’, while Issy Les Moulineaux BC has

The hosts of the 2017 event, Calvi Network BC Milano, was close to a historic final last year. This year they are back for more seeded [3/4] along with Primorye Vladivostok from Russia.

The Russian club were champions in 2012, 2013, 2014, and, 2015, and could potentially take home their fifth trophy within the next couple of weeks.

Stay tuned for the draw for the 2018 European Club Championships which will be conducted tomorrow on Friday June 8th at 1 PM (CEST).
