Only 4 days to go till the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals in Bangkok, Thailand! A men’s and women’s team from Denmark, Germany, Russia and France are represented for Europe. Ronan Labar from the French men’s team is looking forward to playing Thomas Cup.

- Since the European Championships our only focus is on this event. It has been a lot of practice between only us men and also more focus on men’s doubles matches these last days.

France is placed in group A during the Thomas Cup and they will face China, India and Australia.

- All the guys are really looking towards this big event!

Focus on men's doubles

- Well of course we hope for some surprises and surpassing the group stage would be nice.. But we know that we will all have to play our best as we will face China and India. And we hope for a clear win against Australia.

Labar is currently 26 on the world ranking in mixed doubles with Audrey Fontaine. Now he would like to use this Thomas Cup to develop his new men’s doubles partnership with Tom Gicquel.

-  I will just try to give my best for the team and maybe some experience for my young partner Thom Gicquel.
