The second day at the 2018 European Men’s & Women’s Team Championships are almost in the books. And it ended with an injury to one of the biggest men’s singles profiles.

- It is really really nice to be part of this team. I am very happy. All new players get a balloon, they should bring all the time. In the hall. At the breakfast. It is fun idea, and we are having a good time. I like the team events. There are not enough team events in badminton. And playing with Lauren (Smith) was fun. She is so experienced. I was really great.
Jenny Moore, who made her debut Wednesday for the English national team against Czech Rep.

- I felt a pain in my muscle. I am very disappointed. It never feels good to withdraw. At the moment I am only thinking about recovery. I just want to go home as fast as possible.
Pablo Abian, Spanish men’s singles, who got injured in the first game against Russia.

- It was a good match for me today. I tried some of the things, I have been training on, and it felt good. Our goal is a medal, so now I am just hoping for a good draw.

- There is always a big pressure on us, but I also think, that there are other teams with very good players: Germany, Bulgaria and Spain just to name a few. But of course, we are the team everybody is looking at.
Mia Blichfeldt, after the third 5-0 win for Denmark.

- Going on court we always have the chance to surprise. I am not looking for wins at the moment. I know my level, and I know how good my opponents are. I am always trying to do my best, and I am thinking about how I become a better player. Mentally of course it is hard to lose all the time, but you also learn from it.
Gerda Voitechovskaja, after Lithuania lost their third match in Kazan. Lithuania didn’t win a single game during #EMWTC18
