Badminton Europe Confederation are delighted to announce that the 2013 European Junior Championships will be held in Turkey. The event will take place in Ankara, the capital of Turkey and the country's second largest city after Istanbul. The 2012 European Junior Championships will be played on 22-31 March 2013 at the Ankara Arena.

Brian Agerbak, General Secretary of Badminton Europe Confederation said: ” We are happy to see different countries hosting big European events. Turkish Badminton has developed very well in recent years. We are sure Turkey will be a perfect host for the best junior players from all over Europe. The Turkish Badminton Federation already hosted the U17 European Junior Championships in 2007 and provided perfect circumstances for the players. With Neslihan Yigit, who took part at 2012 London Olympics, they have a potential gold medalist in the women’s singles and an interesting player to watch in the future.”
